How do I activate my Carveco software?

When activating Carveco software installed on a device, an active internet connection is required.

How you activate your Carveco software on a device depends on who purchased it and when. If:

  • you purchased the software from our online store, a license key was sent to your registered email address.
  • you purchased the software from a Carveco sales agent or partner before July 27th 2022, a license key was sent to your registered email address.
  • you purchased the software from a Carveco sales agent or partner on or after July 27th 2022, an account was created on your behalf using your registered email address and you were invited to set a password.
  • your company buyer purchased the software before July 27th 2022, both a registered email address and license key were shared with you.
  • your company buyer purchased the software on or after July 27th 2022, an Administrator created a User account on your behalf and then invited you to set a password of your own.

  Warning

If you have purchased any subscription or perpetual Carveco product from our online store, you cannot log in to activate your Carveco software using an email address and password; you must use your registered email address and the unique alphanumeric license key supplied at the time of purchase.

When you install your Carveco software and start it for the first time, a Welcome screen is displayed. If you've installed:

  • Carveco Version 1.32 Build: 2022-06-28-1203-52496cc1 or below, you are presented with a single activation method which requires the license key either sent to or shared with you:

  • any Carveco software release between Version: 1.33 Build: 2022-07-21-1425-1e28beee and Version: 1.53 Build: 2024-05-03-1247-ba4fc124, regardless of where the software was purchased from, you are presented with two methods for activation:

Use method Icon-NumberOne.png if you received a license key.

 

Use method Icon-NumberTwo.png if you did not receive a license key.

  • Carveco Version: 1.54 Build: 2024-06-03-0850-b387843b and the software was purchased from our online store on or after June 5th 2024, you are presented with a single activation method which requires the license key either sent to or shared with you:

    When you next activate Carveco Version: 1.54 Build: 2024-06-03-0850-b387843b on the same device, you are presented with the same activation method.

  • Carveco Version: 1.54 Build: 2024-06-03-0850-b387843b, the software was purchased from a Carveco Sales agent or partner and Version: 1.33 Build: 2022-07-21-1425-1e28beee or later had previously been activated on the same device, you are presented with a single activation method which requires the email address and password registered against your Carveco Account:

I have a license key

To activate your Carveco software:

  1. Start your Carveco software. The Welcome screen is displayed.
  2. In the Email box, type the email address registered against your license.
  3. In the Key box, type your alphanumeric license key, ensuring all spaces and en dashes are included.

      Tip

    You might find it easier to copy and paste your license key using keyboard shortcuts. Select your license key, then press the Ctrl+C keys to copy. Click the Key box, then press the Ctrl+V keys to paste.

  4. Click Activate. The Carveco software license is activated, then your Carveco software starts.

I do not have a license key

To activate your Carveco software:

  1. Start your Carveco software. The Welcome screen is displayed.
  2. Click Log in. The login prompt is displayed.
  3. In the Login-Email-Icon.png box, type the email address registered against your Carveco Account.
  4. In the Login-Password-Icon.png box, type the password set for your Carveco Account.

  5. Click Log In. The Activate Software screen is displayed with each of your Carveco software licenses listed. Where the Status light is:

    the license is available for activation.

    License-Status-Amber.png

    the maximum number of concurrent activations permitted by the license has been reached. Here:

    License-Status-Red.png

    either the license has expired or its associated maintenance plan has lapsed. When a license has expired:

    When a maintenance plan has lapsed:

    • Install a Carveco software release issued prior to the maintenance plan renewal date, but no sooner than Version: 1.33 Build: 2022-07-21-1425-1e28beee.
    • Contact a sales agent or partner to renew the maintenance plan.
  6. Click to select an available license from the list.
  7. Click Activate. Your Carveco software license is activated, then your Carveco software starts.
