With the introduction of the Carveco Account platform, we've moved away from traditional license key activation. If you previously activated your Carveco software using a license key, this guide will help you switch over to account-based licensing.
🔄 Why switch?
Carveco Account-based activation offers a simpler, more secure way to manage your software – no need to keep track of license keys. You just need to remember one login, used for both the software and companion Carveco Account website.
✅ Step-by-Step: How to Switch to Carveco Account Licensing
1. Deactivate your current Carveco installation
If your software is still activated using a license key, you’ll need to deactivate it first.
👉 Click here to deactivate your license
Repeat this process on every PC where Carveco is currently activated with a license key.
2. Re-launch Carveco
Once deactivated, open your Carveco software again. It should reopen without an attached license.
3. Switch to Carveco Account Activation
On the activation screen:
- Click the highlighted link "Log in to activate your license" in the interface to switch from license key to account-based login.

Reminder: License keys are no longer used in our current activation system.
4. Log in to your Carveco Account (within the software)
Click Log in and enter your Carveco Account email and password directly within the Welcome screen window.
This is the same account login you use at the Carveco Account website: https://account.carveco.com
If you're not sure what your login details are, you can reset your password at the link above.
5. Select Your Subscription and Activate
After logging in, you’ll see a list of subscriptions tied to your account. Simply:
- Select your subscription from the list.
- Click “Activate”.
6. You’re All Set!
Your software is now activated using your Carveco Account license 🎉
💡 Important Notes
- You must complete this process on every PC where the software is currently activated using a license key.
- This is a one-time switch. All future activations will use your Carveco Account.
- This is only for customers with a Carveco Account, or who have completed the migration process from our legacy store for their annual or monthly subscriptions.
