Which file extension for Candle

I was using UGS and I couldn't finish any of my cuts, today I was trying again, just cutting a circle in a 1" thick maple and failed again but this time badly and I almost had a fire in my garage just because I step out inside home to go to my computer. Using the UGS inch didn't work, so I decided to use candle which came with my Foxalien Masuter pro with a Makita router and using a file extension for Easel worked in a small piece of 2x4 - I'm done using good wood until I get this sorted also using now chinese bits because my Amana  1/4 bit is trash.

  • Hi Luis Barros,

While we do not yet include a post processor named specifically for the FoxAlien Masuter Pro CNC Router, other customers have confirmed that our Grbl (inch) (*.gcode) and Grbl (mm) (*.gcode) post processor options are compatible.

Provided you're working in imperial units, please save your calculated toolpaths from Carveco Maker using the Grbl (inch) (*.gcode) post processor option prior to loading the resulting .gcode file into Candle.

Thanks again for your time and consideration.

  • I moved to OpenBuilds controller and works fine, I was able to cut a few projects I had with no issues.
