New Install

Hello, my name is Jacob.  I just installed Carveco Maker and I am excited to get started and to learn this new interface.  I have a Shapeoko 3xxl and cant wait to learn the features that I was limited on in the software that came with the machine.  I have already lost a window on the right of the screen that has my toolpaths so I hope to get that back.  Also maybe a nudge in the direction to get the software set with a bit library and any specs I need to add to my machine.  Thanks in advance.

  • Oh and welcome. you can always reset the software also, you would have to do a search for how to do that on the forum, for me that would send me bonkers.

  • Hi Jacob Lear-Sadowsky,

To restore the Project panel, please select the Window > Toolbars and Docking Windows > Project menu option in your Carveco Maker software.

If that action fails to restore the Project panel, please select the Window > Reset Workspace menu option in Carveco Maker, then click Yes in the two subsequent message boxes displayed. If you cannot see the Window menu option in Carveco Maker, please press the Alt+W keys on your keyboard to display the Window menu, and then select its Reset Workspace menu option.

All available tool libraries which are currently available for download can be found in this knowledge base article: How can I add a tool library to the Tool Database in my Carveco software?

The Carbide 3D ShapeOKO (inch) (*.nc) and Carbide 3D ShapeOKO (mm) (*.nc) post processors included in the Carveco product range support both Bitzero and Bitsetter.

Thanks for your time and consideration.
