Color added to simulation

Is there anyway we can get solid colors added to the selection for the material color when simulating tool paths? Like black wood grain or just a palette of colors to choose from?

  • In the "options", you get there by going to "EDIT" then going all the way down in the options menu you have to go down to "toolpath" but the only thing you can do here is choose color, then in the toolpath menu go down to the below simulation you'll see simulate all toolpaths by colors, I, myself only like the basic color, anything else is just too much for me, I just want to verify that the thing being cut out is what I want.

  • Yeah I’m not talking about the tool path colors I know how to do that. I’m talking about where you can change the color of the substrate itself like chestnut, mahogany, red marble etc....

  • Hi Josh,

The suggested Model > Lights and Material Setup menu option is not included in Carveco Maker or Carveco Maker+; it is included in our flagship Carveco product.

You can find instructions on how to render the material in a toolpath simulation in the Reference Help. Select the Help > Reference Help menu option in Carveco Maker, then review the The Project panel > Working with models > Simulation section.

We also recommend that you watch the Simulation demonstration video included in the Carveco Fundamentals training course available on our company website: https://youtu.be/u7dKnyow-f0
