New Model from PDF in project tree

We often start our projects off with a PDF which in the past we have opened using the project tree;

PDF is no longer an option here, we found opening the PDF's in this was very convenient as the model was set automatically and all the vectors brought in. Creating a model and importing it seems like hassle now as we would need to know the size of the model before hand.
