Shape Editor - Turn off Handles and Points

I (and my fellow co-worker) have always found it hard to see the shape we are creating when the Shape Editor is active. This is mainly because the point, handles and vectors are all brightly lit and interfere with viewing.  I understand they are there so that the vectors can be manipulated while the Shape Editor is active, but 99.9% of the time I don't need to do that.

Perhaps the Shape Editor could have a Vector Edit mode that is off by default so all you see is the 3D shape.  If you need to edit vectors at the same time, then you could turn it on.

  • I might be imagining this but I’m sure there is a way to do this but I can never remember the shortcut!

If not I agree and if there is a shortcut it should be a bit clearer.

  • Come to think of it, I think the shortcut that I had in mind turned off the bezier handles and just showed the nodes. Not ideal, but if those bezier handles are on then it makes it even harder to see.

I normally just do as Mike does and just toggle the visibility when the shape is generated.

Would be good to turn them off if needed.

  • I hadn't thought of that before.  I see that it works but it is awkward to have to have visibility on to start the editor, then separately turn it off, then turn it back on to use again.
