Sainsmart 20 degree V-Bit Query
Hi guys, I was wondering if any had the dimensions, etc for the vbits that come with the Sainsmart 3018 Prover? I am trying to enter the details but am hesitant I have the right information. I'm after things link Diameter, Included Angle, Stepdown, Stepover, Spindle Speed, Feed Rate and Plunge Rate.
I am machining graphite.
And yes, I am a complete novice.
Thanks inadvance
Kris

Just a little question, well maybe more......
Do you have the router yet? Are you prepared for the dust from that nasty crap you will be wanting to machine? Do you have the bits yet? Have you gotten around to looking at the spindle yet? I really don't want to look at the advertisement, so these are questions you will have to answer and look for them, everything I just looked at it just has a spindle that will only take an 1/8" (inch) bit, if this is the case you are very limited.
You might take a look here https://bitsbits.com/, there end mills are great, not seconds.

Hi Kris,
Please confirm whether you've completed the steps provided in the following knowledge base article in this Help Centre: How can I add a tool library to the Tool Database in my Carveco software?
This article includes a download link to our SainSmart tool library along with instructions on how to add its contents to the Tool Database in Carveco Maker.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
Hi CS, yes I have completed the tutorial, that's not my query. I was chasing down the correct figures to enter into the tool database for the bits that came with my Sainsmart CNC; namely, the 20 degree VBIT.

Please contact the manufacturer to obtain the correct machining parameters for your specific bit; in this instance, please contact SainSmart Support by email at support@sainsmart.com to seek guidance.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
Kris: If you go into selecting a tool and scroll down to S1R they have 60 & 90 degree V bits listed. All of the data for both of them are the same so I would think it would be good enough for the 20 degree too.
