  • You talking of using the vector dr.?

I, myself seldom use that if I do I go as far in (magnify the node and area) to see what's causing it, could be a vector that's not connected (you have 2 instead of 1) or the vector has many different shoots. In order to fix all this try and delete one node at a time, and or try and join the vectors together (sometime it can be a little tedious) that's why I prefer to make my own vectors, mine will have a great fewer nodes and jagged edges and it will machine better. To delete the node highlight it then hit the "D" key on the keyboard (this will help you to speed up.

Let me know if this answer your question, by the way a picture always help as fare as getting a correct answer.

  • Hi Lynn Richins,

If you're seeing a green and a red node when selecting a particular vector in your model, this indicates that the vector is currently open; it needs to be closed before you can calculate a toolpath (other than a Profile toolpath using the Along option).

If you haven't done so already, please watch each of the following demonstration videos available from our Carveco Training portal:

Thanks for your time and consideration.

  • I'll give it another go. I did make my own vectors. Rectangle for OD profile. Didn't think about posting a picture. If I'm still running into problems I'll do that.

    Thanks,
    Lynn
