When accessing your Carveco account through a firewall or proxy server, the process can be obstructed and you might encounter error or warning messages.
In this situation, please ensure that port 443 is open for outgoing traffic in your firewall.
In addition, please ensure that each of the following web addresses are whitelisted in your browser prior to attempting to access your Carveco account:
- https://api.carveco.com
- https://license.carveco.com
- https://account.carveco.com
- https://login.carveco.com
- https://desktop-login.carveco
- https://auth0-store.carveco.com
Opening ports for outgoing traffic in Windows Firewall
To open port 443 for outgoing traffic:
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard, then type Windows Defender Firewall in the displayed Search box.
- Click Windows Defender Firewall. The Control Panel's Windows Defender Firewall settings are displayed.
- From the left, click Advanced Settings. The Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security dialog is displayed.
- From the left, click Outbound Rules. The Outbound Rules settings are displayed.
- From the Actions settings on the right, click New Rule. The New Outbound Rule dialog is displayed.
- From the New Outbound Rule dialog, click Port.
- Click Next.
- Click TCP.
- In the Specific remote ports box, type: 443
- Click Next.
- Click Allow the connection.
- Click Next.
- Select the types of networks you'd like to permit the connection over: Domain, Private and/or Public.
- Click Next.
- In the Name box, type a name for the rule. For example, Carveco.
- Click Finish.
Adding an exception for web addresses
We recommend that you use Chrome as your internet browser. To add an exception for each of the six web addresses listed above to the Chrome browser:
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- Click theicon on the far-right of the Address bar, followed by the Settings menu option. The Settings page is displayed on a new browser tab.
- Click the Privacy & Security menu option shown on the left.
- Click the Cookies and other site data option.
- Click the Add button displayed beside the Sites that can always use cookies option. The Add a site dialog is displayed.
- In the Add a site dialog's Site box, type the web address. For example, https://api.carveco.com
- Select the Including third party cookies on this site check box.
- Click Add.
- Repeat steps 5 to 8 until all six web addresses have been added.
- Click x on the Settings tab to close it.
