Use toolpath projection found in the Transform toolpath panel. It basically turns every 2d toolpath to 3d one.

Although it may be nicer to have a button, for basic editing its WAY better to learn the keyboard shortcuts. Both ctrl+x (cut) and the delete button will do the work.
