I think I have found the issue - it was probably an Artcam 2012 file - opened & saved in Artcam 2013 and then Carveco can open it ok. Is there a reason Carveco cannot open Artcam 2012 files?

Yes :) did not even need to recalculate the toolpaths - it knew what to do. Did the simulation and all looks good.   Thanks for your help.
