Bitmaps - rotate and scale bitmaps

A simple ability to rotate and scale bitmaps would make it much more useful. The bitmap to vector functionality is excellent, but having to use a 3rd party software to do simple manipulations is unfortunate.

  • If you import your bitmap as a relief layer (setting the depth comparatively shallow), you can then use the 'relief cookie cutter' (ctrl+t) to manipulate the relief however you need. Once you are happy with the orientation, paste it down, and you can create a grayscale from the image (ctrl+g). No third party is required.

  • That is still a work around, instead of simple, basic functionality. I hope the developers are working on these kind of things.

  • I doubt Carveco will include much more than basic functionality simply because most users already have a preferred photo application. I use Adobe Photoshop for my bitmap needs but there are a ton of free options available such as Apple Photos, Microsoft Windows 10 Photos, GIMP, Photo Pos Pro, Paint.NET and many more.
