Preview Feature: Shape Dynamics
In the Carveco 1.29 release, we've added two new preview features related to sculpting.
Shape Dynamics
A new set of options has been added to the Tool Settings panel when using a sculpting tool. These allow you to configure how the shape of the brush changes during the course of a stroke. The effects can be linked to properties of the pen and stroke, or can be varied randomly.
Relief Clipart Brush Shape
Previously, the initial brush shape could only be customised using a relief layer with the current model. When this preview feature is enabled, the layer selection is replaced with the option to browse for a relief file (*.rlf). Resetting the brush shape will restore the default round brush.

excellent features
So I just got set up on the current version of Carve co and have been playing with the 'Preview Features'.
Regarding the 'Relief Clip art Brush Shape' is there a reason I lose access to creating a brush from a layer? I understand I can navigate to my clipart folder and I have access to all the reliefs there but if I combine a couple on a layer I then have to save them in order to access them as a brush.
Regarding 'Sculpting Shape Dynamics' I think it would be used a lot if you could add a "slide bar" or similar control. The tool would benefit from a way to control the intensity of the given effect. For instance, if I select a leaf shape for my brush and set the Rotation to 'stroke direction' I get a fantastic effect (especially if I snap to stroke). On the other hand, if I set the Rotation to 'Pen Azimuth', all starts well enough but I quickly lose control of the orientation.
I've also noticed no description or explanation if you turn on the question mark.
