Relief carving problems

I create the relief, get all my measurements set up, create the toolpath then when I simulate the toolpath everything looks good. I am using a .05 tapered ball nose, the simulation looks good. The bit carves some and then lifts out moves to another location and carves there, eventually joining back to where it left off. The problem is when it moves to new location its going deeper than it is supposed to and leaving a deep gauge. my work piece is clamped down by four clamps so I know it's not lifting. Not sure why I keep getting this.

  • I am having a similar issue with relief carving. my onefinity will be doiing fine then will  leave a gouge in carve.Does it a number of times across the relief. also seems to dit every pass. I am running a .03 taper ballnose in multiple passes and leaves same marks all the way through carve.
