Hey everyone. New user here. Having problems with fonts.
Hello. New Carveco Maker user here. I have had a CNC machine for only a month and since it is a Shapeoko I was using Carbide Create but i found it quite lacking. After watching SamCraft and a couple others I was really excited about trying out Carveco Maker. I binge watched every tutorial video and then downloaded it. This really is a wonderfully robust program and I love designing in it. My problem is that almost every single font I use won't allow me to create tool paths and tells me that I need to use the Vector Doctor. I did watch the Vector Doctor tutorial and vector tutorial that goes over some of this but a lot of the time they aren't as obvious as something you can weld. Sometimes the intersection or other are in the middle of, say, the top of a T for no reason I can see. I was wondering if there was a way to bypass that. The reason I ask is because I know it can be cut that way because I just re-create in CC and cut the piece.
Anyway, thanks for listening any and all help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. I've been able to recreate almost everything including 3d reliefs in the program I just seem to be quite dumb in regards to fonts. lol

I have same issue. Is there a set of fonts that have already been readied for use? If not, why not? Is there some flexibility built in by not having ready-to-use fonts and if so, what might they be?
How closely are you zooming in? If it's possible (this is what I do), zoom as far in as can be done, some fonts have the vectors cross (kind of a real pain) and it causes the toolpath to stop and not work. If it's a real important job to be done then take the time to fix the fonts. You used to be able to do that in ArtCAM and save in the Fonts folder so you didn't always have to do that but I can't remember if you can do that in Carveco now. I do a lot of vector fixing with the files I get (they are a real joy), so fixing fonts is not that bad.
Mind if I ask which fonts are you having problems with? The ones in the C:\Program Files\Carveco\Fonts\ folder or others from the C:\Windows\Fonts\ folder?

Why is Carveco pulling in Microsoft (or HP / Dell / Computer branded) Fonts automatically? Shouldn't that be a question asked during installation? Or an option to opt out of?
I'm suffering from Font Overload.
