Possible issue with Carveco Maker.

I use Carveco Maker from a Mac computer via Parallels in a purchased copy of Windows Home 10. For the most part it seems to work really well and it is hard to tell one is working through a virtual machine. I have seen a couple of issues that may be caused by the virtual machine usage, in which case I should possibly get a PC for the CNC aspect of my carving.

I clicked inside the main window while I was regenerating a previously saved toolpath. The screen went black and I could not find the model or anything else. Is there a secret button I should press to get everything back to where it was? Black screen... 

Going outside the screen after closing the model, I click on the saved model and the screen is a mess and clearly not usable.

It takes closing the model the resetting the workspace before I can use the software normally. Any help would be very much appreciated.
