Need area clearance help

I have a pocket say 6x3. One side is square the other side has curves to it . I do a area clear and my square side comes out totally rounded instead of square. Im using 1/8 end bit . I know it won't be perfectly square but the square part is like a half circle. Any suggestions would be great . Oh and im offset should I be using raster? Ty

  • What is you're tolerances???? Very important. Mine is .001" and mine come out as very close to the line as possible, change your tolerances so the toolpath follows the vector better.

  • I added some photos for you the bottom one shoes the tol. i use the rest deal with the actions you should get, in carveco you get a couple areas you will have to supply a tolerance to, so you get eith a good result in cutting or a fast, me I prefer a good result and am not worried about time.

  • Ty for helping ..I figured it out . Mach3 was set to cv instead of excact step. I remember changing it last yr when I was doing acrylic projects . Cv would keep running and excact would stop for a split second and create a burn / heated spot and was very noticeable. Ty again

  • Whew, well not so much for me I don't change to many things on my router, have one of those memories that loose things too quickly. Don't do Mach either, too many things to remember. Am glad you figured it out.

       Have a good one.
