  • There are jewelers who do this all the time. I myself don't have a 4th axis so I haven't taken the time to learn the steps, there are people out there who have videos like:

    take a look.

  • Hi mike thanks for taking the time to answer to my question i have a laser also and if you remove the y axis and plug the rotary into it you can laser on the rotary on my cnc i have dual y axis so i believe i can remove the y and use a rotary however i dont see how or were in carveco maker were you can setup the model to do this i imagine that you would create the toolpath the same as normal only your y would turn on the rotary and your x would be back and forth so you could remove your y and attach your rotary my issue is i cant figure out how to setup the model in maker there is a ton of artcam video's on this but i dont see the same tools. by the way the link is broken to video.

  • Hi Christopher,

We've ensured that the YouTube video shared by Mike is displayed correctly. Since you're working in Carveco Maker, it is not possible to create a rotary model. You can compare the different Carveco products on our company website: https://carveco.com/carveco-software-range/product-comparison/

  • Hi Christopher,

At present, it is not possible to create a rotary model in Carveco Maker+; it is possible to create a rotary model in our flagship Carveco product.

If you have any further questions or requests, please do not hesitate to ask.

  • I FOLLOWED ROGER WEBB TUTORIAL ( 227 CNC ROUTER 4TH AXIS MACHINING WITH THE X AXIS) AND I MIGHT BE MISSING SOMETHING.

PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO SEND THE G-CODE SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT I HAVE DONE THAT CAUSED MY 4TH AXIS ROTARY DESIGN TO OVERLAP.

    THANKS YOU

    GARY.
