compatibility question
Hello everyone: I'm a new guy with an old machine. I have a model master 1000 subtractive process and am in question as to whether the current software is compatible with my machine. This 1000 model had a hardware update to accommodate the use of 2009 software back when. My name is Sam Barnett and I am in the midst of choosing to become a full time model maker and no longer the bench jeweler in a store making only the occasional piece. Did I hear you say, be careful what you wish for?

Hi Sam, the software is not the issue, its the g-code. This has not changed so you should be OK. I have a MM mill that still has the Foredom motor (the mill is over 10 years old) and it works just fine.

As Barry said, you should be ok as the posts have not changed. Even if you had a post specifically altered, Carveco still uses the same .con format so you can just drop it in the postp folder.
