Notes: To reinstate legacy workflow or not?
One of the more controversial changes made shortly before the discontinuation of ArtCAM software was to the Notes functionality; this was announced in the ArtCAM 2018.2 Update release notes and subsequently discussed here on the Autodesk ArtCAM Forum.
While it's only been a short while since Carveco opened its doors for business, this subject has already been broached by customers in contact with our support team. Therefore, I invite the community to engage in our inaugural debate over whether our Development team should try to reinstate the more familiar Notes workflow in a future Carveco software update.
Thanks in advance for your participation and feedback.
Kind regards,
Dillon

As announced here and documented here, the original Notes functionality removed in the ArtCAM 2018.2 Update has been reinstated as part of the Carveco 1.0.2 Update.
+ One
I have been an advocate to reinstate the Notes back to the original Delcam legacy ArtCAM version format since the changes were made by Autodesk.
The ability to resize the Notes window in the workspace area and to be able to comment with large amounts of file/job information made them a very usable and useful feature. I found they were just not usable in their changed format.

Great to see that bringing back notes has been updated to "Planned"
thank you Carveco,
Gary

I expect it's even greater to see that the work has now been Completed and delivered to customers as part of the Carveco 1.0.2 Update within 10 days of posting this topic. We hope that you all enjoy working with Notes again in the preferred, familiar way.
Kind regards,
Dillon
Hi Dillon,
Been real busy, but got back to modeling last night. Having the original Notes format back is a welcomed update.
Spent some time transferring notes from Onenote into Carveco. Sure nice to have all the file information back in one place.
Off to a great start.
Thanks,
Gary
Glad to see this feature back, but why does the window not match the dark theme applied to the rest of the application? It looks out of place. nit picking I know.
