Hi

Just started using the system

Assuming I want to import my own STL (which I have done) and mill out from wood an area excluding the STL shape.

Did not find a way of doing it.

Anyone?

  • Hi Roni Segoly,

Please watch the following demonstration video included in our Carveco Fundamentals training course, which shows how to import 3D models into Carveco Maker: Importing 3D Models

Thanks for your time and consideration.

  • Not sure if the video shows this but what you need to do is click on Vector at the top and then click on Create and select Relief Boundary.  I also click on the Square and drag it to the model and click and hold at the top left corner and drag it to the bottom right corner to draw an outer boundary for the model.  That way if you want to leave an edge around the model you can create an offset the width you want.

  • Lets see,  when bringing in a stl. after it's in "menu bar"  "vector" go down toward the bottom you'll see the words "create boundary from relief" you will get a fly-by with 2 boxes check them if you want or just go down to the bottom where it says "create boundary".

       Hope this helps
