Not all exported toolpath work with Sainsmart 3018 Prover

Hi,

I exported some toolpath for my sainsmart 3018 ProVer. I choose the file format labeled as such (in mm as .tab).

The thing is, only about 50%of them work with the offline module. Some of them are going from 0% to Finished immediately and the machine is not moving at all. So far I see no pattern what is causing this. Sometimes a tiny change in the path fixes the problem. And I checked that the files are not empty.

Any hint what is causing this?

Thanks!

  • Could this be the same thing that is happening with the 4030. I have to add a "G90" to the beginning of the gcode. Then all things are good without it my files load but also go from 0 to 100 with nothing happening at the machine.

  • This issue has popped back up again... I have been running (trying) files to cut holes for an added waste board. I tried cutting 9mm and 10mm holes with a 1/8 bit but I was getting Error 33 trouble (already have a ticket on that one). So being that I need a new top I tried drilling holes instead. Now the Z height seems random and my machine has crashed to the far Y, no where near where it should have been per the design file. It should have been mid Y not ramming into my limit switch.

Note: I imported my Carveco file into Easel then back out and it ran fine. The only difference I could find in the two G-codes is an additional G90 in the header of the Easel file.

I am running my machine with the offline controller.
