Can you "permanently" change the default rendering material?
Is this possible? I know how to change the material in the simulation but if I'm doing multiple projects in a specific wood, can I change the default from a "yellow" screen with a cutout rendering to "Wood - Oak" (for example) so that it always displays the rendering in "Wood-Oak"? Until I change it to something else?
Thanks

In maker I don't think so, but not sure, I do believe you can under maker plus (I'm not at the computer with Carveco right now) If you can try to look at the "menu bar" under "edit" if you can it could be under "3d graphics option", you would have quite a few there. Then there's the "model" in the menu bar you would have "lights and material setup"
I keep mine with a gold color because I like the way mismatches show up, this is just me, if I need to show someone a wood grain then I'd change it.

Thanks for the response!
I've looked at the settings and don't see a "Permanent" solution but going to the 3D Graphic Options does allow a way to set it to whatever Material I would want to be that session's default..
Not a big deal just more of a "Hey, can you....?" kinda thing.
Now if I can only figure out how to pare down the number of Fonts i have as Text option from the 4MILLION to maybe the 6-10 I might actually use..............
Hello. I'm not sure which Carveco version you use or if it makes a difference, but under Lights and Materials, as Mike said, there is this button on the bottom of the window. Set your preferences as you like and then click on 'Set as Model Default'.
Me, for example, I prefer to have everything in light gray 👍
Hope that helps.
Elina.
