Rotary and Material Zero Setup bug
Rotary setup should work when switching the origin from top to bottom of the block.
It is easy to zero the Z height at the rotary axis, not so easy to zero it at the surface of an imaginary cylinder that may or may not match the actual stock.
When the stock zero is set to the surface:

When the exact same model has the material zero set to the rotary axis, it suddenly becomes double the diameter. This is some really bad math. Coordinate system change must not affect the object size

I supplied these video links for you, just encase you needed a little help understanding how and why in Carveco, Leigton does a wonderful job of it in the videos in the training area another link for you https://learn.carveco.com/tips-and-tricks/rotary-model-material-set-up/
Also if you think you've found a bug, we here don't do squat to do any fixing but if you report it to support they will look at it and get back to you, they might ask for your file so they could trace it out to find the error, and by the way they are fantastic people, they have never pointed out that I am the problem even though I have been.
I will if I can help, if you need to find out how to contact support I can also give you the link.

Michael,
Thank you for that link, it offers some idea how this feature works. I still find it nonsensical from mathematical point of view - changing the coordinate system doesn't change the objects in it, only their coordinates in the new system.
It is much more consistent to zero the machine relative to the rotary axis. For my particular rotary, there is a dedicated touch probe bar with known offsets. Physically zeroing it on the surface of the stock is not reliable, sometimes not even feasible. Of course, I can zero it on the axis, then add whatever I think the stock should be - an extra step that introduces addition ways to mess up, for example by forgetting to add that offset.
I really don't expect carveco to fix anything, the software seems to be based on someone's arcane UX ideas, and I'm only using it because it's the cheapest option that works for my needs. The next step wouldn't be to talk to support and hope for a change - it would be buying a Vectric license.
