Mike,
Can you run me through the steps you've taken.

Mike,
It is my understanding that in Carveco Maker you can draw a rectangle and then draw a circle inside the rectangle, select both vectors, create a 2D clearance toolpath, simulate it, and the toolpaths created would clear out everything within the rectangle except for the inside of the circle. So I drew arcs, a circle, and numerous smooth polyline vectors with the hope that these objects would sit proud on my project because the empty spaces between the objects would be cut deeper. I created an offset on two of the arcs and connected them together with a smooth polyline near the mid circle and added a straight polyline connecting the tops of the offsets. I was hoping this would serve as the rectangle did in the video I watched. I then selected the connected offset vector along with all of the polyline vectors making up my scroll work between the arcs. Created a 2D clearance toolpath and simulated it. The result was opposite of what I was expecting. Thanks so much for any help you can offer.
You need to make sure you select 2 not three vectors if you want to clear an area between those lines, I'll show you why with some pics, it's pretty cool what will happen if you chose more than 3. it all boils down to what you wish to happen, so choosing 2 will give you what you are after, they have to be closed that's the only requirement. By the why thanks for describing to me what you did, it always helps.

Oh and they should never intersect.
2 vectors.
Mike,
Thank you so much for helping a beginner like me. Can't wait to try it.
Mike,
Always fun to sharpen the old brain.I keep forgetting things but giving a hand gets the stuff back.
I don't use everything in the tool shed every day, it's nice to have it available when needed though, even though it was used last year and now I need it.
