V carve inlay tool path min and max
When creating the tool path for v carve inlays several of the videos I have watched have a minimum depth of 0.15 and a maximum depth of 0.05. This seems backwards to me and Carveco tells me via error message that my minimum depth must be less than my maximum depth, which seems right to me. Can you help me understand what I am

Yes, thank you. I tried this one and copied it. It sets minimum depth at .05 and maximum depth at .20. I tried using this using mdf for practice. It was a little tight but maybe if I used a minimum of .06 or .07 it would have st a little deeper but I was pleased it worked at all. But I have studied several other tutorials “Mastering CN Inlay Techniques with Carveco Maker CNC Woodworking Tips. At 32:34 it shows a starting depth of .15 and a maximum depth of .055 inches. If I try to emulate this I get an error message that maximum depth CANNOT be less than starting depth. Is there an error in the video or do I just not understand? I have watched several other vcarve inlay videos that seem to have depths reversed. This is for the male side of the carve.
I appreciate your response and would like any further enlightenment you could give me.
Thank you for your help. I seem to have sorted out my problems.
Robert,
If you don't mind could you tell me what you found?

I found that I could do a tool path with a final depth less than the starting depth. I don’t know what I had done earlier to get an error message when doing the same thing. Thank you for your help pointing me to tutorials.
