Vector Creation

HI,

Been using Carveco for a couple of months and have created a number of signs sucessfully.

The Current sign requires 3 bits, a 17mm V bit, a 1/8th inch end mill and I plan to use a 30deg bit for some 6mm high text, some of which is rotated.

I created the design in Photoshop Elements and exported each part subject the bit type to Carveco. I used .bmp format, the image was 300 dpi. The first two parts went as expected and I was able to create a separate job for each.

The 6mm text can be opened in Carveco, colors reduced but create vectors does nothing

Any suggestions please, I have run out of ideas

Regards

  • Athol,

If you don't mind could you explain the issue with "Text"? Also "create vectors"?

For me I do just about everything in Carveco, I do all texts and all vectors (I find by doing it this way I don't seem to have very many problems. So what I am asking "Are you doing the vectors in Photoshop Elements"? Are you saying that you are reducing colors and having Carveco make the vectors for you?

  • Hi Athol,

Could you please share a screenshot as it might show something that we miss?

I cannot thing of many issue possibilities.. maybe you can double-check the 'Primary Color' selected or the current Vector Layer's visibility?

Sharing a screenshot, or a part of the image you want to create the vectors from, could be helpful.

On the other hand, something that could definitely solve the issue, is to type the text you want in Carveco, so you get the 'perfect vectors' directly.

    Best,

    Elina.
