Thanks for the quick response and the link. Can you help me with the bit description in the tools section of Carveco. I am not sure how to enter the measurements. Angle and diameter.
In 20 some odd years I haven't done much in editing, changing and the like with the tool library
I come from the realm of keep it simple. If you are sort of tepid where it comes to the tool bit library chose either what bits and bits has to say or go with a bit with the same sized tip that you have, that's what I have done when I purchased a tapered ball-end.
Your bit would be (should be) in the jewelers section, that is one small balled end you have (I'd be afraid just to look at it).
Watch the video, and or do a search on-line "how to edit the tool library in carveco"
You a jeweler? For me the smallest tip I have ever used was a .020" (of an inch) and that toolpath took all day.
Thanks mike. Not a jeweler. I am carving the Harley Davidson plaque into an urn for a friend. The wall is only 5" tall so the model is only 4". At that size my normal 2mm ball will not cut the small lettering. So I am using the sharp v tool to cut the lettering area. I now have the correct settings.
If this is an oval, or round you will have to use the transform toolpath after you make the v-bit toolpath, You will have to drop the tool so it follows the shape of the material.

Tom,
Sorry today's been rather busy.
I looked for videos that can explain to you better than I could,
I think I've found one Leighton did here

Tom,
