Two Questions about user interface
I got such good help on my previous question that I thought I would try again. There are two relatively small issues that I would like to fix in my user interface in Carveco Maker.
1. I work in multiple vector layers. When I shut all of them off except the layer I am working on, as soon as I generate a toolpath, one of the layers I had shut off becomes visible again. If I forget to look, or don't see it, this problem can cause me to machine something I don't want to machine. I have tried locking the little locks beside each layer, but that doesn't seem to fix it.
2. I have created some new custom bits. Actually, these are the only bits I will customarily use, but I don't want to delete the bit information supplied with the program. Is there any way I can move my custom bit group to the top of the list so I don't have to scroll down every time.
I have not found any of Carveco's excellent training videos on how to customize the workspace. Do any exist that I should watch?
FYI, I am a pipe organ builder and use our cnc to machine custom parts for new organs. The process is basically on of drilling many, many holes of very precise sizes and locations into Baltic Birch plywood. We have been doing this for about 20 years. I purchased Carveco because our old program (RAMS) is obsolete. I am also having to learn to do this again after 15 years because the man who did this work, my son, passed away recently in the midst of a huge project. I really appreciate your help!

When you run your toolpaths make sure the layer that you have open is highlighted if you don't it'll bring the highlighted layer into view. I don't think it'll run toolpaths on vectors that are not highlighted, (enjoy peace of mind)
You want to move your new bit up to the top? Highlight it and move it with the mouse like you're wanting to move a vector to another area.
