Key slot hole

Is there a way to make a key slot hole in Carveco (like on a picture frame) using a key slot tool?    What would the steps be?  Thank you!

  • I think the shaft on those things are like a quarter inch right? I would make a very small oval then use the profile toolpath (start node (the green booger) on where you want to start the plunge, run that, then change to the key hole bit run the same toolpath.

  • Have you given it a try yet? Don't forget the oval should only be about a thousandth of an inch thick and as long as you need the slot to be. Remember the start point has to be where you want the screw head to enter.
