Can I edit a project that I already exported as g-code in Carveco Maker?

I created a project in Carveco Maker, exported it in g-code and machined it. Problem is, I want to change the font of the lettering but I don't want to create the project from scratch again. Is there a way for Carveco to open the g-code file in order to allow me to edit the font once it has already been exported as g-code?

  • Hi Sylvie Seaward,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to import a toolpath output file back into Carveco Maker.

You must open the Carveco Model file (.art) from which you exported your toolpath output file, edit your vector text accordingly, recalculate your toolpaths, and then save your toolpaths again.

Please watch the following demonstration video available from our Carveco Training portal: Saving Your Work

Thanks for your time and consideration.
