Adding command to post processing

Hi fellow community members,

I'd like to add the M8 command automatically to all my toolpaths in order to enable dust collection on my CNC. I am using Masso G3 and Carveco Maker. Is there anyway to do that or will I need to copy and customize the current Masso post processor?

Coming from the 3d printing world, most software have a section to append a startup/ending gcode to file. It would have been nice to have something similar!

TIA

Thanks

  • Hi Simon Chalifoux,

Since you own a Onefinity CNC machine with a Masso controller, you would need to copy either the Onefinity_Elite_inch.con or Onefinity_Elite_mm.con file (depending on whether you're working in imperial or metric units) found in C:\Program Files\Carveco\postp\ on your computer to your desktop, open that .con file using Notepad, edit the code within the .con file to include the M8 command, save the modified .con file with your changes, copy and paste the modified .con file to C:\Program Files\Carveco\postp\ on your computer, and then restart Carveco Maker.

Thanks for your time and consideration.
