TIM6 error20

Hi,

I have a Mcwdoit 4540 500W CNC machine...can't seem to get any other info than that.

In position 1, I get TIM error 20.

What do you suggest I save the code files in?

Grbl (mm) (*.gcode) or G-code (mm) (*.tap)

Sorry, don't have anymore info to go on.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/665347490932348/ is their Facebook page. I did find one item about the machine there.

  • Hi Greg Symes,

Based on the information supplied here, which states that your Mcwdoit 4540 500W CNC machine uses GRBL Control, we would suggest that you start by selecting the Grbl (mm) (*.gcode) post processor option from the Save Toolpaths dialog's Machine file format list (provided you're working in metric units) when saving your calculated toolpaths from Carveco Maker, and then testing under safe conditions (dry run, air cut).

Since you do not have a tool changer, you'll need to ensure that each of your toolpaths which make use of a different tool or bit are saved separately. Please watch the following demonstration video available from our Carveco Training portal: Saving Your Toolpaths

Thanks for your time and consideration.
