Mike, Z = 0 would be the same for both tools. The different tool parameters would take into account how far the Z plunge is for either tool.

Hi Evonne, what mill are you using? Model Master mills were/are notorious for this sort of problem. I never use the tail stock on my MM mill. Is this a new problem?
