Bridges
Good Day,
I am fairly new to Carveco Maker and would like some help please. I am milling into 4mm aluminium composite and having difficulty leaving in bridges. Is there a general rule as to how these need to be left on in the profiling tool settings in terms of the step over and step down setting, in addition to the bridge thickness and type (2D or 3D)?
Thanks in advance

Hi Mohammed Vanker,
Please watch both of the following demonstration videos available from our Carveco Training portal:
Thanks for your time and consideration.
Good day and thank you for the above links. I followed the video tutorial and have managed to achieve almost 99% understanding.
I do still need clarity or help on one issue please:
I am cutting 4mm aluminium and in addition going down 0.5mm into the waste board, so I have set my router bit to go down 4.5mm. If I want to leave on a tab equivalent to the material thickness (i.e. 4mm), how do I set the router bit to come up 4.5mm, do the tab, and start cutting again?
Do I set the step over option in the tool setting to 4.5mm?
Thank you.
Hi Mohammed Vanker,
You do not need to be concerned about the Stepover value here. Provided that you've specified a Finishing Depth of 4.5mm in your toolpath, you only need to specify a Thickness of 4.5mm for your bridges.
Thanks again for your time and consideration.
