Copying a complete model

I created a model and it is finally right where I want everything. Now I would like to copy that model to be nested on my wood blank with 5 others just like. In other words, I want to cut out 6 of the same item from one board. How do I copy a a model and nest it with others on thw same job?

  • Hi

The way I do it and there are other ways is to select the cookie cutter and when model is blue use the mirror vector with the Ctrl. Then mirror copy again without Ctrl

  • Hi Brian Warner,

The word "model" is used to describe a Carveco Model (which includes your vector artwork, bitmap artwork, relief and toolpaths) or a Carveco Model file (*.art). If you want to create a duplicate copy of a Carveco Model file (*.art), you would use the copy and paste commands in Windows.

If in fact you're referring to a relief created within your model, please share a screenshot showing exactly what it is that you want to create multiple copies of.

You can create multiple copies of a relief. Please watch both of the following demonstration video available from our Carveco Training portal

Thanks for your time and consideration.

  • Hi William Grix,

Unfortunately, as Brian Warner is working in Carveco Maker, he does not have access to the Relief Cookie Cutter tool.

Thanks for your time and assistance.
