Printed Circuit Boards in Carveco
I apologize if this is not the best topic category to post this question, but I was not sure where it would fit best. I am trying to make a very simple printed circuit board (PCB) in Carveco Maker. I am using 1/16th (1.5875 mm) copper clad board 72mm x 60 mm. I thought that simple "engraving techniques" would work for this. I have several problems. I have two (2) circles with two (2) parallel lines between the circles. When I try to "trim" the circles to remove the small diameter between the parallel lines, the whole circle gets trimmed. My thinking is to remove the small section of each circle and then join both circles and lines to make a "dog bone" type of object. I have ten (10) total "dog bone" objects that I need to create. Once all are done, I thought I could then make "Profile Toolpath" to cut out the copper around the "dog bones" (~0.2mm depth of cut) using a 1.2 mm end mill.
- Is there a simple way to create PCB designs using Carveco Maker?
- Is there a way to trim the circle and line vectors and then join them into one (1) vector object?
Thanks in advance for any help!
