THE DISTORT TOOL DOES NOT GIVE ME A PROPER BORDER.
Hi.
Whenever I use the distort tool to get a border, I realize that it does not give me an even design. for example, I make a rope design around a door, it gives me 2 to 3 different shapes. How can I get this fixed?
Regards
Gary.

HI COMMUNITY FRIENDS.
WISHING HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.
I STILL NEED HELP WITH MY DISTORT TOOL, ITS NOT GIVING ME A PROPER BORDER.
I GET DIFFERENT SHAPES FROM EACH SIDES. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP?
THANK YOU.
GARY.
Hi Gary Smith,
We hope that you enjoyed the holidays.
It is not clear why you're using the Envelope Distortion tool to create a vector boundary, when the Create Boundary From Relief tool would seem to meet your requirements. Please try selecting the Vector > Create > Relief Boundary menu option or clicking the Relief Creation toolbar's Create Boundary From Relief button and experimenting with that tool.
Thanks for your time and cooperation.
What I did really is; make a rope design and save it in the Relief clipart library. Then I used it to form a rope around a door using the DISTORTION TOOL, and it gives me a different look at each side.
The picture below shows the unpasted image, which is what I used to make the border and after pasting it, it shows a different pattern
How do I get each side to look the same?
Hi Gary Smith,
You can mirror floating relief clipart. Therefore, please confirm whether you've tried creating half of the design, and then using the Mirror tool to create the second half and complete the design.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
I don't know if the Create boundary from relief, can wrap a 3Ds model around a design. I have never done it before. Could someone please show me how to do it?
Thank you
Gary
Thanks so much. I have tried creating half of the design and mirrored it and it works perfectly. It was a bit challenging to do, but it works very well.
