Carving not as expected

I am trying to cut a 3D gold/silver bar into either a piece of wood or graphite. I thought I had conceptualized it and designed it so that it would cut the bar the same as in the image attached. If I then pour some molten metal or wax into the mold (wood or graphite), it would look like the below image.

How can I cut this bullion bar so that the short length is 4 mm beneath the zero plane of the material I'm using, while the long plane is at the zero reference level.

If you see the model currently, it is not integrating the various sides together - it just looks like each side of the model is separate.

Any help would be really appreciated as I have spent hours trying to figure this out in Carveco Maker+ to no avail.
