Laser toolpath

I am new to Carveco. Can Carveco Maker do lettering and simple profile toolpath with a laser? Any video links would be nice.  I am using a Planet-cnc MK3 9 axis on my cnc machine and have 4 axis left for the 600 X 900 co2 laser I am building. That brings up my second question, are there any Planet-cnc user's here that might be willing to give me a few pointers. I am wondering if I will be able to use the MK3's PWM to vary the power of the laser. This will be my first laser, I am learning as I go.
