CHARM FOB WITH CHAIN SET
This charm was modelled on a photo, and the horse on a bitmap, image, the design was merged to create a flat dxf file for export to Carveco, this was then modelled to create 4 layers to show off the detail and carvings. The charm is designed with a plain back which can be engraved with a message, From Carveco, an STL file was created with was 3d printed and then cast in sterling silver. All other attachments were made and assembled for the finished piece. The final piece was 30 mm high and 4 mm thick.
It is always a challenge to do everything in one piece of software, but provided you have good vector artwork, we have found Carveco amazing easy to use software, and the support we get from the technical team is the best out of all our software suppliers. If anyone is thinking of doing metalwork designs this software is a good starting point for anyone and very easy to use. Mind you we do also ask for help now and then when we get stuck and Leighton is brilliant looking at ways to help us. We will keep adding other designs if people like what we do.
