  • What do you need it for?

    To buy a disk your best bet is eBay (go to eBay and search Widows 98), I have bought copies of XP and 7 there. If you plan to do a new installation make sure you get a retail version or you will not be able to register it with MS. If you have a PC that had 98 on it and its no longer working you might be better off having it repaired. The repair service will have the nec licenses to do the job for you.

  • These days the issue would be getting drivers that work on newer hardware. If you absolutely have to have 98, look into emulating it via Virtual Box. I am sure someone has a 98SE VDI on the net somewhere to get you going...

  • A virtual machine would be a good idea but you would still need a retail version (a new one) in order to have the PC acceptable to MS.

    SE is the one you want...
