Show Material Type in Maker - Tool Path Window

In watching the training videos, there is a rendering window that shows up in the tool path to all allow you to set material type.  Is that feature no longer available in Maker as I have searched everywhere and am unable to find it.  Also, in the tool path window, the simulation bar is not present but it is in the window across the top of the machine, not a huge issue but is there are a way to get all the options for the tool path window on the Right side pop out window?

  • Hi Chris,

If you're referring to the Lights and Material settings, they are not included in Carveco Maker or Carveco Maker+. The demonstration videos you're referring to could therefore have been captured in either Carveco Maker+ or our flagship Carveco product.

You can compare the different Carveco products on our company website: Product Comparison

If you haven't done so already, we recommend that you complete the Carveco Fundamentals training course here on our company website; this covers functionality included within Carveco Maker.

If you have any further questions or requests, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

  • Hi Chris,

If you were referring to the Rendering settings within Carveco Maker, you must first simulate your calculated toolpaths, then ensure that the Project tree's Simulation item is selected; with the Simulation item selected, the Rendering settings are displayed below the Project panel's splitter bar:

The Simulation Control Bar floats by default; while you can click and drag it into position, it cannot be docked.

If you cannot find the Make toolbar's Simulation Control Bar button in Carveco Maker, please ensure the Window > Toolbars and Docking Windows > Make menu option is selected.

If this does not restore the Make toolbar's Simulation Control Bar button, please complete the following steps:

    1. Select the File > Close Model menu option to close your model.
    2. Select the Window > Reset Workspace menu option. A message box is displayed stating that the default layout will be restored.
    3. Click Yes. A second message box is displayed asking if you want to restart Carveco Maker.
    4. Click Yes. Carveco Maker shuts down and restarts.

Thanks for your time and consideration.
