I'm stuck and need help, I'm very new

I've gotten the design all ready, when I click calculate toolpath it says does not allow tool change. I've watched a ton of video's and tried reading everything, but am stuck on this problem. I have a Genmitsu CNC Router 3018-PROVer I am trying to get it to work on. Any help would be just amazing. I really am lost on what to do. If someone can help and need the exact thing it says or any more information, I will happily try to be exact on what it says. Also how do I delete your model files that I've saved. Thank you so much to anyone that can help me.

  • Tiffany,
Have you been successful creating a very simple toolpath like just cutting out a square - going through the routine of toolpathing the vector shape, saving out the toolpath using the post processor for your cnc and actually cutting it yet?

  • Hi Tiffany,

Please use this link to download two files named Sainsmart_PROver_mm.con and Sainsmart_PROver_inch.con. These are the latest versions of our SainSmart 3018 PROver post processor.

Please shut down your Carveco Maker software, save the attached Sainsmart_PROver_mm.con and Sainsmart_PROver_inch.con files to your computer's desktop, copy the Sainsmart_PROver_mm.con and Sainsmart_PROver_inch.con files to C:\Program Files\Carveco\postp on your computer, overwriting any existing files by the same name in that location, and then restart your Carveco Maker software.

When saving your toolpath files from Carveco Maker, please select the SainSmart 3018 PROver (mm) (*.tap) or SainSmart 3018 PROver (inch) (*.tap) option from the Save Toolpaths dialog's Machine file format list (depending on whether you're working in metric or imperial units), and then load the resulting *.tap file into Candle.

Since your SainSmart Genmitsu 2018-ProVER does not have a tool changer, ensure that you save each toolpath which uses a different tool separately from Carveco Maker. Please watch the Saving Toolpaths video included in our Carveco Fundamentals training course.

Thanks for your time and consideration.
