Calculating toolpaths and selecting vectors
Got vectors drawn on screen, but on finishing tool path, get no vector selected message, and can’t work out how to reselect the vectors
Comments
Just select the vectors again and click on calculate toolpath.
That’s the problem don’t know how to reselect vectors
Hi Derek,
To select a vector, you click it in the view. To select more than one vector, you hold down the Shift key on your keyboard then click each of the vectors in turn.
If you are having to ask how to select vectors, then we highly recommend that you watch each of the demonstration videos available from our Carveco Training portal here, as previously recommended in Support Request #4107 dated Monday March 8th 2021.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
The last answer assumes you have the initial vectors in view. What to do if the workpiece is blank after simulation reset?
Hi Roger Oxford,
In this recent post, your supplied screenshot confirms you're currently working in the 3D View within Carveco Maker.
You can toggle the display of your vector artwork in the 3D View using the 3D View toolbar's Toggle Vector Visibility button.
You can also use the Toggle Visibility icon (double wireframe lightbulb) displayed beside the Project tree's Vectors item to toggle the visibility of all vector artwork hosted across your vector layers, or the Toggle Visibility icon (single wireframe lightbulb) displayed beside a specific vector layer to toggle the visibility of the vector artwork hosted on that particular layer.
Please watch both of the following demonstration videos available from our Carveco Training portal:
