Converting other CNC software files
Hi. Maker is awesome and it does everything that I personally need. However, once in a while I want to purchase projects from others, like Nik at Broinwood.com who only sell Vectric project files. Is there a simple and foolproof way to convert Vectric projects? I’ve done a little searching and I don’t see a way, but thought I’d ask. Thanks for your help.

Hi Ken Wilson,
We're very pleased to hear that you're enjoying working in Carveco Maker.
On reviewing Broinwood's website, it states: "each purchase also includes the design files in SVG, AI, and DXF formats, providing you with a range of options for compatibility and flexibility in your projects."
While there's no way for you to open proprietary files saved in .crv format in Carveco Maker, you are able to import SVG, AI and DXF files. Therefore, you should be able to use the designs being sold by Broinwood.
We recommend that you contact Broinwood to ask that they contact us with the view to being able to deliver their projects in Carveco Model file format (.art).
Thanks for your time and consideration.
