Save time for finishing a 3D model

I am retired and I work a lot with Carveco Maker which I really like but I have a problem. I do the roughing with a flat bit 4 mm and .030 in for the finish. When I finish with a 1/8 dia. ball nose Carveco starts again as if the roughing had not been done and it takes an excessive time. I would like to end up removing only the .030 in. left by the roughing to save a lot of time. How to do?

  • Hi André Jean,

Rest Machining is included in our flagship Carveco product only; we have no plans to include this functionality in Carveco Maker.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

  • I think what Andre Jean is asking is what I am looking for. I am not sure, though. I performed a search and did not find anything under "Rest Machining." Can you point me to information on this? Thanks

  • Now I finish the relief with a bullnose tool.

    Example of Finish.

    Starting Z -1.000

    End Z -1.000

Same dimensions for making 1 pass only.
