  • Hey Carveco Support,

I'm seeing the same issue Ron Pare reported on the forum in the post you linked, after upgrading to 1.48 (never had this issue before now). Is there a resolution to this? Unfortunately the linked post doesn't have any follow-up discussion or resolution.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Bayne,

Ron Pare has yet to respond to our set of instructions provided in Support Request #16188 on November 21st 2023 and he has not posted to the Community since November 20th 2023.

When installing Carveco Maker Version: 1.48 Build: 2023-11-20-1550-d05f8f97 on your computer, please confirm whether you right-clicked the downloaded Carveco-1.48-2023-11-20-1550-d05f8f97.exe file and selected the Run as administrator context menu option. If you did not, please reinstall the software on your computer using this method.

Please try resetting the workspace in the Carveco Maker software installed on your computer by selecting the Window > Reset Workspace menu option, and then clicking Yes in the two subsequent message boxes which are displayed. When Carveco Maker restarts, please open your saved Carveco Model file (.art) double-click the calculated toolpath in the Project tree to display the 2D Area Clearance panel, and then click its Add button to display the Tool Database.

If that action fails to resolve your reported issue, please try completing the following steps:

    1. Download the Reset Carveco 1.x.reg.zip file to your computer: Reset Carveco 1.x.reg.zip
    2. Extract the downloaded Reset Carveco 1.x.reg.zip file.
    3. Shut down all sessions of Carveco Maker currently running on your computer.
    4. Double-click the extracted Reset Carveco 1.x.reg file. A User Account Control message is displayed asking if you want to allow the application to make changes to your device.
    5. Click Yes. A Registry Editor warning message is displayed explaining that you are modifying the registry and asking you to confirm that you want to continue.
    6. Click Yes. A message is displayed confirming keys and values have been added to the registry.
    7. Click OK. The message box is closed.
    8. Start Carveco Maker.
    9. Open your saved Carveco Model file (.art).
    10. From the Project panel, double-click your calculated toolpath in the Project tree. The 2D Area Clearance panel is displayed.
    11. Click the Add button. The Tool Database is displayed.

Thanks for your time and consideration.
