G-code UGS

I am going to use Carveco Maker on my new FoxAlien Masuter Pro CNC machine. I also intend to use UGS for my g-code files.

Do I have to make any changes in UGS apart from machine data? Does the g-code from Carveco Maker automatically set the machine up for engraving/cutting?

  • Hi Graham Riches,

If you intend to use Universal Gcode Sender (UGS) as your machine controller alongside your FoxAlien Masuter Pro CNC machine, please ensure that you select either the UGS GRBL (inch) (*.gcode) or UGS GRBL (mm) (*.gcode) post processor option (depending on whether you're working in imperial or metric units) from the Save Toolpaths dialog's Machine file format list when saving your calculated toolpaths from Carveco Maker.

You would then load the resulting .gcode file which you've saved into Universal Gcode Sender in preparation for machining.

Thanks for your time and consideration.
